Join MTC and the West Oakland Environmental Indicators Project for a deep dive on the design of the West Oakland Link, Tuesday, Oct. 10 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Register for the event here.

The West Oakland Link is a proposed 1.1-mile-long elevated pedestrian and bicycle pathway that will close a critical active transportation gap. It will safely link the community of West Oakland to its shoreline, the Bay Trail and the San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge East Span pathway.

At the meeting, MTC planners will walk through the details of the West Oakland Link's design. The session will provide for a comprehensive understanding of the pathway's visual design and the potential enhancements and amenities that can be incorporated along its route. A question and answer session with the designers will be part of the meeting. Participants can also offer thoughts on how the work may affect neighborhoods.

The meeting is in person, with the first portion being accessible online for those who cannot attend. When registering, select a ticket type: in-person or online. Virtual attendees will receive a link to participate after registration.

The in-person meeting location is in the Prescott Neighborhood, near 14th and Center streets. The address will be provided after registration. This location is accessible via West Oakland BART and AC Transit Route 14. On-street parking is available, and the space is wheelchair accessible.
