Survey says: BART now cleaner

By Mark Prado

And the survey says: BART is cleaner.

That is the word from the agency, which released survey results Wednesday showing riders are noticing changes at BART stations.

Elevators, platforms, stairs and other parts of the stations are looking more spiffy they say. BART's new general manager, Bob Powers, has made cleanliness a focus.

“We are committed to improving the customer experience through cleaner stations and have revamped our approach to include focused overnight cleanings of our busiest stations,” Powers said via a BART press release.

The survey results come on the heels of a plan announced by BART to add cleaning crews over the next six months.
