MTC, SolTrans, STA unveil York Street project in Vallejo

The Metropolitan Transportation Commission, Solano County Transit (SolTrans) and the Solano Transportation Authority (STA) have unveiled the York Street Improvement Project.

The project has expanded the Vallejo Transit Center east along York Street by adding five new bus stops and enhancing the downtown streetscape between Sacramento and Marin streets.

MTC Executive Director Therese McMillan said of the project, “Vallejo, like so many other places around the world, has been temporary interrupted by the pandemic, but the York Street improvements help to position Vallejo to bounce back big!”

This expansion was funded by a combination of efforts and partnerships with the California Transportation Commission, California State Transportation Agency, California Department of Transportation, MTC, STA and the City of Vallejo.
