The BART Silicon Valley 6-mile extension project into downtown San Jose and Santa Clara is seeking contractors and subcontractors to provide initial feedback.
This week the Valley Transportation Authority, which is building the project, put out the request for feedback for tunnel and track work.
The request is issued to gauge interest from the transit design-build contractor community, and to obtain specific feedback on the scope of the contract. Other aspects of the project will be subject to the same process.
Early construction activities are planned to begin in 2022 with substantial construction completed by 2028, according to VTA. More information about the project can be found here.
