The Metropolitan Transportation Commission (MTC), Commute.org (San Mateo County), the Napa Valley Transportation Authority (NVTA), the Solano Transportation Authority (STA), the Sonoma County Transportation Authority (SCTA), and the Transportation Authority of Marin (TAM) have announced a new partnership to support customers looking to improve their commutes after two years of pandemic-induced disruption by providing seamless access to carpool and vanpool ride-matching and eligibility-based trip rewards.

MTC’s 511 SF Bay – the free regional traveler information system available on the Web at 511.org and by phone at 511 — this month expanded its menu of public transit information by adding a new data feature known as Pathways that delivers detailed directions for navigating rail stations and other transit hubs to all travelers, including those who use wheelchairs or other mobility devices.

The MTC has announced the newest addition to its award-winning 511 SF Bay service with the launch of a text-based mass notification feature for travelers in the nine-county San Francisco Bay Area.

As the year winds to a close, it's a good time to take stock of all the things we are grateful for. Here at the Association of Bay Area Governments (ABAG), Bay Area Toll Authority (BATA) and Metropolitan Transportation Commission (MTC), there is an across-the-board commitment to hard work and excellence at both the staff and leadership level.
