You’re Invited: Join Us in Salesforce Park on Sept. 24

Sales Force

In celebration of Transit Month 2024, the Metropolitan Transportation Commission (MTC) and Transbay Joint Powers Authority (TJPA) are hosting Next Stop, Salesforce Park!, a social event in the Main Plaza at Salesforce Park starting at 4 p.m.

The public is invited to enjoy an afternoon in TJPA’s 5.4-acre rooftop park, found atop the multimodal Salesforce Transit Center; meet the members of the Bay Area Transit Customer Advisory Group; and share their ideas for the future of Bay Area transit. Food and beverages will be available for purchase at the Barebottle beer garden.

Event registration is not required but encouraged to attend the event. Register to attend on the event.

The Customer Advisory Group – made up of representatives from advocacy organizations, MTC’s Policy Advisory Council and local government – represents Bay Area transit customers and helps shape regional transit policy, implementation planning and decision-making with a rider-centered focus. Learn more about the Customer Advisory Group and its work on the MTC website.

Take transit to the event: AC Transit, Capitol Corridor, Golden Gate Transit, Muni, SamTrans and WestCAT offer service to the Salesforce Transit Center. Taking BART? Exit at either the Embarcadero station or Montgomery St. station, both of which are just one block north of the park. Visit TJPA's transportation webpage to figure out how to get there.

Next Stop, Salesforce Park! is one of many events that are happening as part of Transit Month in September. Visit transitmonth.org for more events, rides, contests and prizes.

About Transit Month

Transit Month spotlights the work the Bay Area’s transit agencies do to keep residents moving, whether going to work or going to school, seeing friends and family, or attending an event. During Transit Month, residents and visitors alike can look forward to a region-wide ride contest and prizes, and a calendar full of transit-themed activities. Riders also are invited to participate in a Ride Contest by logging their trips to earn badges and for a chance to win prizes. Riders logged almost 17,000 transit trips during the Ride Contest in 2023. Learn more about Transit Month, the Ride Contest and events happening this month on the Transit Month website. MTC is proud to be the presenting sponsor of Transit Month.
