Transit users urged to sign up for Clipper on mobile phones

The Metropolitan Transportation Commission (MTC) encourages travelers to put Clipper on their mobile phones with Apple Pay and Google Pay instead of obtaining physical Clipper cards because global supply chain issues have depleted the inventory of the plastic cards.

Adding a Clipper card to Google Pay, an Apple iPhone 8 or later or Apple Watch Series 3 or later is easy:

Apple customers can add Clipper directly through Apple Wallet and load cash value with Apple Pay anytime, anywhere. Customers with Android system phones running Android 5 or later similarly can add Clipper directly through Google Pay and load cash value anytime, anywhere.
