With the NBA All-Star Game and Lunar New Year Parade in San Francisco this weekend, the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency is offering free Muni service (except on cable cars) all day on Saturday, Feb. 15 and Sunday, Feb. 16.
The last time San Francisco hosted the All-Star Game was in 1967 at the Cow Palace. This year, it will be at the Chase Center, which is served directly by Muni. But the game on Sunday, Feb. 16 is only part of the equation. More than 200,000 people are expected to attend several All-Star Game-related events around the Bay Area and BART can deliver fans to those locales.

The annual Lunar New Year Parade will commence Saturday, Feb. 15, at 5 p.m. from Market & Second Street and proceed via Market to Geary, Powell, Post, Kearny to Columbus where it will conclude between Pacific & Washington. BART will also take people to the parade.
In addition to the parade, there will be other events, including the two-day Community Fair will take place on Feb. 15 & 16 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday and 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday. The event will be held on Grant Avenue between California & Broadway and on the streets crossing Grant between Stockton & Kearny.

Clipper, the Bay Area’s all-in-one transit card, is a good way to get to the events and is accepted by all of the Bay Area’s transit agencies. Visit clippercard.com for more information about getting and using Clipper.
