Three MTC Standing Committees will meet at the Bay Area Metro Center on Wednesday, May 9, in addition to a Budget Study Session, a Policy Advisory Council meeting, and a Policy Advisory Council Equity & Access Subcommittee meeting. Below is a preview of the agenda items for the standing committee meetings.

The Bay Area Toll Authority Oversight Committee meeting, scheduled to begin at 9:30, will consist of a brief consent calendar approval. Read the full meeting agenda.

The Administration Committee will seek approval of a funding agreement for a ~$1.5 million pilot program with TransForm for car sharing and mobility hubs in affordable housing. The program would develop and implement a suite of mobility options such as car sharing, electric vehicle charging stations, bikeshare, transit passes, electric bicycles, credit for ride-hailing trips to transit and other rideshare solutions at three affordable housing sites in disadvantaged communities in Oakland, Richmond and San Jose. The committee will also discuss a legal services bench of ten pre-qualified law firms to provide legal services to MTC and its affiliates through 2022. Read the full meeting agenda.

The Programming and Allocations Committee will seek approval of the following items:

  • Adoption of the $53.2 million FY 2018-19 Regional Measure 2 Operating and Marketing Program, including updates on programming, route changes and recommendations for three routes at risk of losing funding.
  • A revised Regional Means-Based Fare Program framework, based on feedback received by the committee in April.

The committee will also hear an update on Senate Bill 1 programs (including Bay Area projects recommended for grant awards by the state) and a preview of items being presented at the May 16-17 CTC meetings. Read the full meeting agenda.
