Four ABAG meetings are scheduled to meet this Thursday, May 17, at the Bay Area Metro Center, beginning at 4:00 p.m.
The ABAG Legislation Committee will meet at 4:00 p.m. They will seek Executive Board approval to take positions on the following bills:
- SB 828 (Wiener): Regional Housing Needs Assessment and Allocation
- Proposed Position: Support and Seek Amendments
- AB 1771 (Bloom): Regional Housing Needs Allocation
- Proposed Position: Oppose Unless Amended
- SB 831 (Wieckowski) and SB 1469 (Skinner): Housing and Land Use
- Proposed Position: Support and Seek Amendments
- AB 2372 (Gloria): Floor Area Ratio Bonus
- Proposed Position: Support

The brief ABAG Finance Committee meeting will begin at 5:00 p.m. and will cover financial statements, contracts and investments. Read the full Finance Committee agenda packet.
The Advancing California Finance Authority (ACFA) Governing Board will meet at 5:05 p.m., or immediately following the Finance Committee meeting. They will receive a report on the ACFA Marketing Plan. Read the full AFCA Governing Board meeting packet.
Finally, the ABAG Executive Board will meet at 7:00 p.m. They will hear reports from four ABAG committees on their activities: Administrative, Legislation, Finance, and Regional Planning. The Regional Planning Committee will report on the efforts to establish the Bay Area as a regional U.S. Economic Development District (read the memo and review the presentation) and the North Bay fire recovery efforts (read the memo).
