The Metropolitan Transportation Commission will release the CARE Power-building and Engagement (Pb+E) Grant Program on Sept. 2 – offering up to $1.3 million in funding for Bay Area community-based organizations.
What is the CARE Power-building and Engagement (Pb+E) grant program?
The Community Action Resource and Empowerment (CARE) program is a funding and implementation program to strengthen community and multi-sector partnerships and support community-led solutions that improve livability for all people in the Bay Area.
The Pb+E grant program includes direct funding as well as technical assistance, training opportunities, peer learning, expert coaching and connections to tools and practices to help community-based organizations build local leadership, collaborate with other organizations, develop capacity in transportation and housing, and implement neighborhood-level projects.
What will the grant fund? Projects that strengthen community leadership, build partnerships and implement community-driven solutions connecting housing, transportation and environment goals.
Who can apply? Community-based organizations serving people in MTC's Equity Priority Communities or other similar designation with experience in housing, transportation or environmental issues.
