This holiday season, the Golden Gate Bridge District has wrapped a bus with an image of the Golden Gate Bridge on a clear winter day in an effort to support local food banks.
The district is supporting the San Francisco-Marin and Redwood Empire food banks and encourages people to contribute to their local food bank. For information about donating to the San Francisco-Marin Food Bank, visit sfmfoodbank.org. For information about donating to the Redwood Empire Food Bank, visit refb.org.
The holiday bus is assigned to random Golden Gate Transit bus routes through January. People can share photos of the bus on the road via social media with the #GGTHolidayBus and #HowToGive hashtags.
