The U.S. Department of Transportation released its May 2021 Air Travel Consumer Report and it shows the number of flights are climbing as the pandemic begins to slow.

The data shows airlines scheduled and operated the most flights in March 2021 than any month since March 2020.

The report includes which airlines had the best and worst on time records, which carriers cancelled the most flights and how much baggage was mishandled, among other factoids.

Other aviation consumer matters of interest to the public can be found at http://www.transportation.gov/airconsumer.

The report is designed to inform consumers about the quality of the services that airlines provide.
