Smart Cities Dive took a look at a transportation package approved by the U.S. House of Representatives on Tuesday, noting funding for transit has increased in recent years.

The piece gave a shout out to BART's effort to get more trains and provide more room for passengers through the Transbay Tube.

"Cities can look to systems like BART as case studies for how to best expand rider capacity," it noted. Way to go BART!

The piece also notes transit ridership has increased 21 percent across the country since 1997.
