SF Curbed put together a nice piece on ways to get to campsites around the Bay Area, sans the automobile.

Mount Tamalpais, the Point Reyes National Seashore and Angel Island are among the destinations that are within the reach of a bike ride or public transit (some of which is funded by MTC.)

All the natural wonder so close is what makes the Bay Area a great place to be.

It's nice to see the modes of transportation can be used for other things than getting to work.
