To celebrate transit’s role in getting fans to Super Bowl LX related events, Bay Area transit agencies and the Metropolitan Transportation Commission are encouraging transit riders to wear their favorite jersey on transit on Tuesday, Feb. 3.
Agencies such as BART, Tri Delta Transit and others will have staff handing out prizes to those spotted wearing a jersey during their ride, while supplies last. Any sports jersey counts. Tri Delta Transit asks riders take a selfie and post/tag its social media pages #tdtfanday2026 to be entered to win a 20-ride pass.
Tuesday marks the first day of the Super Bowl Experience at Moscone Center and BAHC Live! San Francisco Fan Zone at Yerba Buena Gardens in San Francisco. All these events are accessible by Bay Area transit. See the full list of events on the BAHC’s Super Bowl LX Events webpage.
Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara is hosting the championship game on Sunday, Feb. 8, and transit is a great way to get to the stadium and other events. Take the train, bus or ferry to skip the hassle of traffic and parking, and get to the celebrations stress-free.
The Bay Area’s nearly two dozen transit agencies now accept contactless credit and debit cards for adult fare payment in addition to existing plastic Clipper cards and mobile Clipper cards in Apple Wallet or Google Wallet. The 'tap-and-ride' feature that allows riders to use a contactless bank card for fare payment includes mobile cards as well as traditional plastic credit or debit cards.
