The U.S. Department of Transportation released its third quarter numbers and it shows flights have yet to return to pre-pandemic levels.
The total number of flights operated in September 2021 were 86% of those in September 2019. Flights operated in the first nine months of 2021 were 76% of the flights during the same period in pre-pandemic 2019.
The report includes which airlines had the best and worst on time records, which carriers cancelled the most flights and how much baggage was mishandled, among other factoids.
