MTC Commissioner and Sonoma County Supervisor David Rabbitt along with other dignitaries helped launch a new Sonoma-Marin Area Rail Transit (SMART) shuttle connecting the Larkspur Station and Ferry Terminal.
The newest SMART Connect on-demand shuttle launched last week is a convenient and accessible transportation option serving the SMART Larkspur Station, the Golden Gate Larkspur Ferry Terminal, and the surrounding Larkspur Landing area.

SMART, the Golden Gate Bridge Highway and Transportation District, and the Transportation Authority of Marin have partnered to offer the new SMART Connect Larkspur shuttle, which is an alternative to the Central Marin Ferry Bicycle/Pedestrian Bridge connecting passengers between the SMART Larkspur Station and the Golden Gate Larkspur Ferry Terminal.
On weekends, SMART Connect Larkspur also serves The Village and Town Center shopping malls in Corte Madera providing an easy ride to favorite shopping destinations.
The service is especially convenient for passengers who find the walk challenging, and the shuttle can carry up to two wheelchair users onboard.

The shuttle will run Thursday through Sunday for a one-year pilot period and joins SMART Connect Airport to become the second service of the innovative SMART Connect on-demand shuttle program.
Hours of Service
- Thursday – Friday: 7:00 AM – 12:30 PM and 1:30 PM – 6:00 PM
- Saturday – Sunday: 8:30 AM – 11:30 AM and 12:30 – 7:30 PM
The shuttle follows the same holiday schedule as the SMART train. All trips must start and end within the service area. Weekday and weekend service areas are different.
How to Ride: There are three ways to book a ride on SMART Connect Larkspur.
- Book a trip on-demand or pre-book using the Ride Pingo App.
- Book over the phone by calling customer service at 800-727-0279.
- Walk-on to the van and the driver will book your trip, space available. SMART Connect Larkspur meets southbound SMART trains and northbound ferries within 5 minutes of arrival. Walk-on space is limited, and pre-booking is encouraged.
Shuttle Fare: One-way fare is $1.50 for adults and $0.75 for persons with a disability. Youth (ages 0-18) and seniors (ages 65+) ride free on the shuttle.
