As renters compete in a tightening supply market, many are acting faster and revisiting San Jose listings more often.
The city’s newer mixed-use districts featuring transit access and high-end retail are successfully drawing in residents who might have previously opted for the suburbs, confirming San Jose’s appeal as a tech-hub hotspot, according to the report.
Renters in San Francisco led the pack in searches for apartments in San Jose, with Los Angeles and Santa Clara, close behind.
In California, Oakland, San Francisco, Fremont and Santa Rosa also received attention from prospective renters, according to the report.
