SF Curbed is reporting that home sales in the region continue to stall, while the value of real estate remains steady.

The number of homes that sold dropped by 15 percent in the last year, although the value of the median home is now $815,000, up from $785,000 a year ago.

San Francisco sales were down 6 percent, with Napa showing the the smallest decline at 5.8 percent. Marin County had the biggest drop off at 32 percent over the course of the year.

Meanwhile, a recent MTC Vital Signs report looking at the region showed fewer housing permits being taken out than other parts of the country in recent years.
