Register Now for Equity Forum: Advancing Gender Equity in Transportation

MetroTalks

Register now for a vibrant discussion on what a safe and equitable transit system accessible for women and girls can look like in the Bay Area. The online program is from 4 to 5 p.m. on Thursday and is free.

In wake of our current health, economic and housing crisis, and as people protest for racial justice in cities across the country, MTC/ABAG launched The Metro Talks Equity Series—a series where regional thought leaders consider how to best restore the Bay Area with equity as the guiding core value. Join us for a 60-minute session, split between a panel discussion and live Q&A with audience members.

Panelists include:

• Haleema Bharoocha, Advocacy Manager, Alliance for Girls

• Geovanna Veloz, Youth Researcher, Alliance for Girls

• Salaam Lateef, Student, Black Girls Brilliance Youth Leader

• Mydria Clark, Toll Technology Analyst at HNTB

• And moderator Therese McMillan, Executive Director, MTC-ABAG

Metro Talks is a remote series of public forums to seed and exchange ideas on how the Bay Area can transform for the better. The forums bring together prominent leaders and experts to discuss significant regional issues like housing, community development, climate change, the economy, technology and transportation.
