Podcast: In with roundabouts, out with traffic lights?

Freakanomics radio has posted an interesting podcast looking at roundabouts, which some claim can save lives, improve traffic, as well as reduce emissions.

In 2019, crashes in the United States. produced around 36,000 deaths and 2.75 million injuries, according to the podcast.

Because roundabouts are smaller, drivers must slow down, which can reduce collisions. 

But it's not all peaches and cream for roundabouts; they do tend to produce more non-fatal crashes that lead to property damage, usually to the vehicles themselves.
