Every year, the nine Bay Area counties honor their own Bike Champion of the Year — individuals who go above and beyond to promote bicycling as a primary mode of transportation and inspire others in their communities.

Nominations for the 2025 Bike Champions of the Year are open now until March 31, 2025. Winners will be announced in late April, just in time to be celebrated during Bike to Wherever Days throughout May.
The goal is to spotlight the people transforming the Bay Area into a better place to live and bike. Winners will receive prizes and be recognized across the Bay Area.
The nominations are part of the larger Bike to Wherever Days, which includes a Pledge to Ride in May and the Bay Area Bike Challenge. The events celebrate bicycling as a sustainable, practical, and fun way to get around the Bay Area — from work to fun to wherever.
