New report ranks airlines

A new report out this week ranks the nation's top airlines based on a variety of factors.

The Airline Quality Rating  first issued in 1991   is a comprehensive study of performance and quality of the largest airlines in the United States.

The rating is a multi-factor examination of the airlines based on mishandled baggage, consumer complaints, on-time performance and  denied boardings, according to the report.

Here is the list:

1. Delta Airlines

2. Jet Blue

3. Southwest

4. Alaska Airlines

5. Hawaiian Airlines

6. United Airlines

7. Spirit Airlines

8. American Airlines

9. Frontier Airlines
