A new report out this week ranks the nation's top airlines based on a variety of factors.
The Airline Quality Rating — first issued in 1991 — is a comprehensive study of performance and quality of the largest airlines in the United States.
The rating is a multi-factor examination of the airlines based on mishandled baggage, consumer complaints, on-time performance and denied boardings, according to the report.

2. Jet Blue
3. Southwest
4. Alaska Airlines
5. Hawaiian Airlines
6. United Airlines
7. Spirit Airlines
8. American Airlines
9. Frontier Airlines
