Next City put together a nice article on the Mega-Measure that has been discussed of late.
Dubbed "Faster Bay Area" by its backers, the measure would pour $100 billion into transportation needs in the region.
The article notes Seattle and Los Angeles passed similar measures in recent years.
Polling is starting to get underway to determine how to fund the plan, which would address ferry service, BART and Caltrain improvements and a "second crossing" to compliment the Bay Bridge, among other projects.
