Golden Gate Transit helping Muni customers during crisis

Golden Gate Transit

Golden Gate Transit is now permitting local bus rides within San Francisco in an effort to help the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency  as it makes necessary service reductions during the current COVID-19 pandemic and shelter-in-place orders.

This policy change will help San Franciscans who require essential travel, such as going to grocery stores, pharmacies and essential jobs, Golden Gate officials said.

To familiarize new riders with Golden Gate Transit, the agency suggests looking at this page which has information and useful links.

As of Wednesday,  April 8, Muni has reduced its service to 17 essential lines.
