The Golden Gate Bridge, Highway & Transportation District's Board of Directors has adopted its first-ever climate emergency resolution.

The resolution serves as the district's statement of principles regarding the causes and impacts of global climate change and as a commitment to continue expanding efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and plan for a resilient future.

The District has implemented climate-friendly practices and programs.

For years, the district has been active in emissions reduction programs across its bus, bridge and ferry divisions, pioneering efforts on zero emissions and renewable fuel efforts.
