The Golden Gate Bridge Highway & Transportation District's Larkspur Ferry Terminal is being used as a drive-through vaccination site.

The district offered Marin County the use of the terminal at no cost and it has been in operation since Feb. 21. The site includes about a dozen drive-through stations where medical personnel administer doses of vaccine to people in their cars. There is also a station for bicyclists, pedestrians and paratransit vans.

Vaccinations are scheduled through reservations only. Eventually, the site will expand to provide up to 1,500 vaccine doses per day.

Additionally, the bridge district continues to work with its partners to advocate for priority vaccination for transportation and essential workers who come into contact with the public as a way to bring back transit.

MTC and the Golden Gate Bridge Highway & Transportation District are transportation partners.
