The U.S. Department of Transportation has released its March 2021 Air Travel Consumer Report.
The continuing impact of COVID-19 is reflected in the report. The data shows an increased number of flights in December during holidays, but a dip in January.
The report includes which airlines had the best and worst on time records, which carriers cancelled the most flights and how much baggage was mishandled, among other factoids.
Other aviation consumer matters of interest to the public can be found at http://www.transportation.gov/airconsumer.
This month’s report marks the 50th anniversary of the monthly publication of airline operational data. It is designed to inform consumers about the quality of the services that airlines provide.
