Bay Area Pride month checklist:

  • Lipstick? Check.
  • Fab ‘fit and ‘do? Check.
  • Clipper® on your phone, so you can get to Pride events easily? Check and check.

If you are heading to the San Francisco Pride Parade and Celebration on Sunday, June 29, or any other Bay Area events for Pride Month, use Clipper to get around quickly and easily – and use the cash you saved to celebrate.

Clipper is the Bay Area’s all-in-one transit card. Keep a Clipper card in your purse or wallet, or better yet, use your phone’s digital wallet to tap and go. Clipper is accepted on all of the Bay Area’s more than 20 transit agencies and is the fastest way to pay. Take the train, bus or ferry to skip the hassle of traffic and parking, and get to the celebrations stress-free.

Clipper is also your key to unlocking Bay Wheels bikeshare bikes! Use promo code PRIDE25 throughout the weekend for a free Bay Wheels bike unlock. Bay Wheels Classic bikes are the more affordable option, while Bay Wheels e-bikes’ pedal assist gets you to your destination without breaking a sweat.

Visit clippercard.com for more information, including how to get Clipper, how to pre-load funds, and how to use Clipper on your phone or a physical Clipper card.

Clipper is available for mobile phones through either Apple Pay or Google Pay. Clipper will waive the standard $3 new-card fee for customers who choose Clipper on their phone. (A $3 fee will be charged to customers who purchase a new plastic Clipper card.)

Adding a Clipper card to Google Pay, to an Apple iPhone 8 or later, or to an Apple Watch Series 3 or later is easy. Apple customers can add the Clipper card directly through Apple Wallet and load cash value with Apple Pay anytime, anywhere.

Customers with Android systems must have devices with an NFC chip. Phones running Android 5.0 or later or smart watches running Wear OS 2+ can add the Clipper card directly through Google Pay and load cash value anytime, anywhere.

MTC is the transportation planning, funding and coordinating agency for the nine-county Area. MTC operates the Clipper system on behalf of the region’s transit agencies.
