The San Francisco Bay Trail is being featured this month as Save The Bay invites the public to be part of the seventh annual Bay Day.

Residents around the region are joining Bay Day festivities and are connecting, exploring, and discovering the San Francisco Bay Trail and other Bay Area locations as part of the celebration, which continues to Oct. 1.

The free event is flexible and customizable with prizes and special offers. Participants can choose when, where, and how to experience and celebrate San Francisco Bay. An online system also allows participants to track their progress. Sign up here to participate.

The Bay Trail is a project of MTC and the Association of Bay Area Governments. Envisioned as a 500-mile “ring around the Bay,” today over 350 miles of trail are built along the perimeter of San Francisco Bay.
