After air quality improved for decades, what we breathe may be becoming worse, according to new federal data analyzed by the Associated Press.

During the last two years the country has had more air pollution days than in previous years, contradicting what President Trump said recently.

Whether this is the beginning of a longer trend or an anomaly is being studied.

Recent wildfires across the region have worsened air quality in the Bay Area.
