When talking about energy efficiency in the San Francisco region, ABAG’s Bay Area Regional Energy Network (BayREN) has taken center stage.

BayREN's work has been recognized in a new article from CALCOG (California Association of Councils of Governments.)

BayREN  — administered by the Association of Bay Area Governments —  offers regional energy programs, services and resources that promote energy savings, while helping local governments evaluate ways to come into compliance with state energy code.  BayREN has a unique program structure: it is a collaboration of the nine Bay Area Counties, with one member agency representing each county.

The programs result in energy and cost savings for thousands, supporting local governments, while also playing a role in fighting climate change by reducing carbon emissions.
