BART has announced some parking spaces at its Millbrae Station will be lost as work on a new passenger loading area begins Saturday, Jan. 25.

While parking garage will remain open, an area on the first floor will be closed during construction.

Eventually, however, all surface parking will be closed by the middle of this year to accommodate new homes and commercial space. The garage has been re-striped to create more parking for users.

The development is expected to see completion in 2023.
