San Mateo community college students ride free on SamTrans

SamTrans announced this week it's offering free rides to community college students in San Mateo County for a limited time.

A free bus pass will allow for unlimited rides on all SamTrans routes from August 14 through August 31. 

Students currently enrolled at either Cañada College, College of San Mateo or Skyline College are eligible for the limited time offer. SamTrans staff will be on site at all three colleges to distribute free fare cards on the following dates:

Cañada College

  • Wednesday, August 14 | 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.
  • Thursday, August 15 | 6 p.m. – 8 p.m.
  • Monday, August 19 | 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. 

College of San Mateo

  • Wednesday, August 14 | 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.
  • Thursday, August 15 | 9 a.m. – 2 p.m.
  • Monday, August 19 | 9 a.m. – 2 p.m.

Skyline College

  • Wednesday, August 14 | 9 a.m. – 2 p.m.
  • Thursday, August 15 | 9 a.m. – 2 p.m.
  • Monday, August 19 | 9 a.m. – 2 p.m.
  • Tuesday, August 20 | 9 a.m. – 2 p.m.; 6 p.m. – 8 p.m.

 

The community colleges in San Mateo County are accessible by the following SamTrans routes:

Cañada College – 274, 278 (Saturdays)

College of San Mateo – 250, 260, 294

Skyline College – 49, 121, 140
