To celebrate transit’s role in getting fans to FIFA World Cup 26 related events, MTC and Bay Area transit agencies are encouraging transit riders to wear their favorite jersey on transit on Wednesday, July 1.

FIFA All Aboard Transit

The U.S. national team lands at the San Francisco Bay Area Stadium (Levi's Stadium) this Wednesday and plays Bosnia and Herzegovina for the 2026 FIFA World Cup knockout rounds. Kickoff is at 5 p.m.

In celebration of the event, transit leaders are encouraging Bay Area riders to wear their favorite team jersey to support their team.

For those going to the game, Bay Area transit agencies and the Metropolitan Transportation Commission are encouraging residents and visitors alike to take transit to the game. Unlike many rail systems around the country, Bay Area transit agencies are not implementing surge pricing for FIFA. Riders pay the regular fare.
