Welcome to The Bay Link, the joint blog of the Metropolitan Transportation Commission (MTC) and the Association of Bay Area Governments (ABAG)!

MTC and ABAG are partner regional agencies that work together to make the nine-county San Francisco Bay Area more livable and sustainable. This blog serves as a single public information resource for both agencies, providing news, views and analysis on a range of topics, including housing, land use, transportation, economic development, social equity, the environment, sustainability, climate change and resilience.

Consider The Bay Link the latest in both agencies' ongoing efforts to “Be Regionable.” Have a look around and let us know what you think. Feel free to comment on an individual post, or, for general inquiries, send us a message at at blog@bayareametro.gov. You can also subscribe in the sidebar to receive a weekly round-up of the latest posts.

MTC is the nine county Bay Area's transportation planning, financing and coordinating agency. ABAG supports regional planning and cooperation among the cities and counties of the region in its role as the Bay Area's regional planning agency and council of governments.
